WELFARE
At Choices International we pride ourselves on the safety, happiness and well-being of our students-athletes. Athletes welfare is a fundamental part of our programme and which we recognise as being important to our student-athletes’ development as a player and a person.
Starting a new programme can be daunting, particularly when you don´t know anyone. At Choices International we try to make it easier for everyone to find their feet and make new friends. On your first day with us, your appointed welfare officer will meet with you to introduce you to the other participants and academy staff and provide you with an orientation session and a tour of facilities. They will be on hand throughout your programme to offer support and advice. We also organise a regular and varied social programme for all participants, ensuring that it is easy to get to know everyone and make new friends.
There is a vibrant social programme at Choices International, which includes two weekend extra-curricular activities per month.
We take student-athletes to a minimum of one WHUFC home match each term and cultural activities and trips associated with the programme throughout the year plus an international trip to play and train at a Tier 1 club abroad.
We also have a welcome day and orientation for new student-athletes.
The social programme is optional and there is an associated cost in order to participate that needs to be paid before booking by each participant.
Some activities will be covered by the programme for example entrance fees to WHUFC home matches.
We like you to feel at home and to have an unforgettable experience!
