INTRODUCTION TO COACHING FOOTBALL

Introduction to Coaching Football is the perfect online football coaching course for anyone looking to take a more active role in the game.

The course blends live weekly webinars, e-learning, community support, and a range of resources to provide you with the skills to coach players of all ages. Much like a successful team, Introduction to Coaching Football relies on several key areas to work. By delivering the course in this way, we are able to help you create a safe, fun, and positive football environment.

To pass the course, you will need to work through e-learning modules, unlocking new ones each week, as well as completing a short online assessment. The e-learning can be completed in stages in your own time. In addition, the course will be complemented by practical and face-to-face learning experiences delivered locally as part of our ongoing coach development offer.

Upon completion, you will gain confidence, begin developing your own style and apply what you’ve learned to become a transformational coach.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Course Duration: 10 hours (total qualification time)

Leading To: FA Level 2 in Coaching Football

FA COACHING LEVEL 2

This nationally recognised qualification, awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications will build upon prior learning from the Introduction to Coaching Football qualification and take you on a journey through the core components of the England DNA – How We Coach, How We Play, How We Support and The Future Player, helping you to begin shaping or refining your own coaching philosophy.

The course is made up of 20 guided learning, face-to-face workshops covering a range of topics linked to the England DNA. These workshops are split into three blocks of learning (Block 1 – How We Coach, Block 2 – How We Support and The Future Player, Block 3 – How We Play). Through the duration of this course, you as a coach will also receive up to two support visits between blocks to develop you in your own coaching environment in line with the course criteria.

Leading To: FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football

PFSA LEVEL 1 TALENT IDENTIFICATION IN FOOTBALL

The PFSA Level 1 Talent Identification in Football Course was developed by elite Premier League Football Scouts, Heads of Recruitment and Academy Managers, and touches on all aspects of talent identification.

Unlike other online talent identification courses, the PFSA 1 Talent Identification In Football Course delves much deeper into the profession of football scouting and is the industry-leading online introduction into talent identification.

The 11 module course will equip you with a firm understanding and platform to further develop your knowledge of the talent identification process and what is needed to operate as both a football scout or an elite coach.

The course has been developed in line with the EPPP and is a great stepping stone for a career within football.
