OUR SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Choices International has been working exceptionally hard on our safeguarding practices and risk assessments to ensure we have the best measures and protocols.We are confident and proud of the quality standards we have achieved.Your safety is our priority.

The whole Choices International team continues to ensure the safety and health of every student-athlete as part of their development and success.

Based on the official protocols established by the UK Government, the whole team at Choices International is following and has implemented very strict and extensive safety measures to ensure the security of all of our staff members and student-athletes, which are our utmost concern and highest priority.

In addition to safety, our administration is understanding and flexible during the registration period, as we know that this time is filled with uncertainties for the 2021 season.

USE FACE MASKS

The wearing of face masks is strictly enforced for all members at Choices International, including the Technical Team, Staff, Administration, and Student-Athletes. Student-athletes do not have to wear face masks when they are in their rooms or in the campus’ outdoors as long as social distancing guidelines are met.

We provide facemasks to all visitors who do not carry them upon arrival at the campus.

TEMPERATURE SCREENING

Our student-athletes are monitored several times throughout the day, including every morning before breakfast and every night after dinner. Staff members, academy and camp participants and visitors are monitored upon arrival at the academy or the residence. If a student is showing a temperature higher than 100.4° F, he will be isolated, and his family will be immediately contacted. If the temperature remains higher than 100.4° F, we will contact our Primary or Emergency care provider for a diagnostic and potentially a test for Covid-19.

If a non-residential student, or a staff member is showing temperatures higher than 100.4° F, they will not be able to access any of our facilities nor will they be allowed to meet with any of our students. Staff members will be placed on medical leave and will be able to return to work after testing negative for Covid-19.

QUARANTINE

Our student-athletes for whom there are suspicions of contamination (fever, cough, or any symptoms of COVID-19) or who recently traveled from high-risk countries or regions of the world may be placed in quarantine at the specific accommodation arrange for it. They will benefit from their own living space, online education and and meal service for the period in quarantine.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We are also implementing additional measures to maximize the social distancing between participants.

Limited access and visits: Visitors are not permitted inside campus buildings or in the bedrooms. Families must schedule their visits with our administration department.

Smaller training groups: When necessary, the technical staff will split the training groups to maximize social distancing during intensive football/soccer activities.

Safety perimeter groups: Our staff has re-organized all public areas to allow more distance between student-athletes during meals and in classrooms, and lounge areas.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

All common areas such as bathrooms, classrooms, the restaurant, bedrooms, and surfaces are professionally and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected multiple times per day. The cleaning staff who are working extensive hours onsite with a specific cleaning protocol throughout the day.

Locker rooms are cleaned and disinfected after each training session along with football/soccer gear.

Staff members and student-athletes are requested to wash hands before and after every meal or before entering any building. Multiple hydroalcoholic gel dispenser are installed at every entry point of each building.

SAFETY GUIDELINES AND PROTOCOLS TRAINING

Choices International provides ongoing education for its student-athletes and its staff to ensure that guidelines and protocols concerning safety, health, and hygiene-related to Covid-19 are always relevant and do not put anyone at risk.

CANCELLATION AND FLEXIBILITY

Choices International has put in place a policy that relates to the potential disruption of the Academy Programme due to COVID-19 or other pandemic circumstances. The objective is to anticipate how we will deal with the financial consequences of a potential season cancellation or interruption. At Choices International, we have established the following policy:

Junior and group sports programmes: in case the season will never start and therefore is considered cancelled: we will offer you either a Credit Note for a place for the participant at a comparable Camp at one of our locations in the same or the following year or a full refund of fees less 50% registration fees.
Academy programme: in case of a late start: we will compensate by pushing the end of the season to a later end date.
In case of season interruption: we shall credit the fees to the following starting programme or reimburse 1/75th of annual fees for each week that is cancelled through the end of the programme.

OUR DRIVERS

We would also like to express that since the beginning of Covid-19 all our vehicles no longer offer or allow a car share option. All clients and drivers need to remain safe at all times. Our drivers will at all times be wearing face coverings and gloves. There shall be anti-bacterial hand gel available and we can also provide face masks on request. Vehicles will be thoroughly disinfected after each transfer to ensure all cars are kept sterile.
