IBCM provides Person BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports, International Foundation Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas which provide a progression pathway to a wide range of UK, US and international universities.

We also offer an exclusive degree progression with our partner -University of East London; a leading UK Sports university and a Master in Sport Management.

INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

The IBCM International Foundation Diploma (IFD) is a qualification designed to prepare students for entry into their chosen degree specialisation. The programme is designed for international students who wish to progress to an undergraduate degree course. Our IFD programme covers a wide range of degree specialisations; including Sports Management, Sports Science, Business, Law, Health sciences and many more. The programme is OFQUAL accredited and is recognised by over 80 UK, US and other international universities.

The programme integrates the development of academic English language skills, required for success in Higher Education, with knowledge of specialist modules selected to support the student in their choice of degree -specialisation.

The programme can be taken as either an Academic Year programme (three terms) or a Fast-Track intensive programme (two terms) for those with superior English skills. The programme uniquely allows students to develop the study, presentation and writing skills that will support success in their chosen degree studies. It also provides the opportunity for students to enhance their IELTS scores to meet any requirements for progression to their university study programme.

AS / A LEVEL PROGRAMME

Our flexible approach enables students to choose almost any combination of subjects. AS and A level courses are delivered in real-time online classrooms, where students can engage with the teacher and collaborate with fellow students. A wide range of subjects are available.

A / AS Level Study Programmes have been designed to support your specific career goals and are tailored towards preparing you for progression after college. Your study programme is more than just your qualifications, your Study Programme will include development of critical skills to support your progression, including your English, Mathematics and Employability Skills.

You will be guided as to the most appropriate study programme through the interview and enrolment process.

All of our A / AS Level programmes are designed to develop your English and communication skills as well as your technical and numerical abilities. All of these skills are transferable to any higher education programme and employment fields.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

Your study programme will be made up of three A-levels. You will require the following entry requirements:

At least 6x GCSEs with:

3x GCSEs at grade 5.

3x GCSEs at grade 4.

Including GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths.

You will be guided as to the most appropriate study programme through the interview and enrolment process.

TUTORIALS

As an A Level student you will benefit from a range of academic support. You will also have the opportunity to meet with your Personal Tutor individually during the academic year. This way it will contribute to your development and, in many cases, will support your academic subjects.

The teachers and staff are always on hand to discuss and advise on any problems or questions they may have. When participants have to make academic choices at any of our courses, A Level or for University entrance, they each get individual support and advice from our Academic Team.

BTEC PROGRAMMES

The BTEC in Sport provides a recognised route for progression to degree programmes in sports-related disciplines. IBC offers a range of Pearson BTEC level 3 in International Sport including pathways for Sport, Coaching & Development and Business & Management. These qualifications are OFQUAL recognised and provide a recognised route to Higher education studies. BTEC International Level 3 in Sport qualifications allow learners to progress to the workplace – either directly or via study at a higher level and it is accepted by UK and international universities for entry to relevant degree programmes.

UNIVERSITY PROGRESSION

HND PROGRAMME

The HND Programme is a two year full time qualification designed to provide you with the practical knowledge and applied skills for success in your future career.

Incorporating the IBCM philosophy of personalised learning support, small group sizes of students and a focus on vocational work-related assignments rather than exams, it is ideal for the international student looking to maximise their learning opportunities and complete a UK university degree. The IBCM HND provides specialisations in careers like :

-Sports management
-Business management

The programme provides direct progression to year 3 of leading UK degree programmes and thus provides both a valuable qualification pathway whilst saving as much as 50% of the tuition fees.

All programmes incorporate an essential Personal & Professional Development module which is designed to enhance individual candidate’s skills within a business –setting and allows candidates to develop their communication, team-working and interpersonal skills. At the same time, it allows a candidate to plan career –options, map out skills requirements and plan their individual career paths.

This practical approach to helping candidates progress their career’s is a key element of the IBCM Approach.

ENGLISH PROGRAMMES

We firmly believe in developing each student’s language ability so The General English classes concentrate on improving every aspect of your English. Our approach is to provide a stimulating and highly interactive environment in which you can develop your language skills that you are able to develop as quickly and effectively as possible. All programme syllabuses have been carefully designed to ensure students make maximum progress. We have available pre sessional English programmes for participants who need to improve their level of English to enter the academic programmes.

WEEKLY STUDY SCHEDULE

25 hours study per week; incorporating 15 hours of English Skills | 5 hours of Academic English or IELTS Preparation | 5 hours Academic Elective Modules.

IELTS PREPARATION

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam preparation programmes are designed to ensure that you achieve your desired IELTS score as quickly and effectively as possible. Throughout the learning process, we measure your progress clearly and visibly to highlight strengths, needs and objectives. Once you take the IELTS you can register for entry to a British University.

SAT & TOEFL

SAT I

We have a rigorous approach to the SAT I exam. We start with a practice test to ensure that our tutors can identify strengths and weaknesses in test-taking and content. Our tutors are adept at teaching vocabulary words, mathematical tricks, and reading strategies. We teach both content for the exam as well as exam strategy. We provide a bespoke service specific to the needs of individual students which may or may not include specialised tutors for sub-sections, simulated exam condition practice, and detailed test feedback.

SAT II

Subject tests are a requirement for most students when applying to the United States for College. Traditionally, most universities required 3 Subject Tests, however that number has recently dropped to most schools with a few exceptions. There are 20 tests covering 5 subject areas.

TOEFL PREPARATION

The computer-delivered TOEFL iBT test is the only test that measures all 4 academic English skills — reading, listening, speaking, and writing — the way they are actually used in a classroom. We offer TOEFL Preparation and assessment for those who prefer an alternative to IELTS preparation.
The TOEFL iBT® test is accepted by more than 11,000 universities and other institutions in over 150 countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, the U.K., and across Europe and Asia.
